Dominican Oatmeal

- 2 cups instant oats - or quick oats
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 2 cups milk your choice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg add to bowl before serving
In a medium saucepan combine oatmeal, salt, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, water and milk.
Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stirring constantly until the liquids are reduced and you have a soft porridge consistency. Cook a bit longer if you like a thicker consistency.
Serve in bowls. Dust the top with fresh ground nutmeg. Add fruits, nuts, honey, let your imagination go wild.
